Hello! I'm Gemma Keating, an EdTech Enthusiast and a Mathematics Specialist dedicated to shaping a sustainable and thoughtful approach to learning in the digital classroom. My work is fueled by a simple, powerful belief: technology should serve the educator and the student, helping us develop the analytical skills we need to thrive in the age of AI.

With over a decade of experience in the demanding environment of IB DP Mathematics, I understand subject rigor. But I'm most energized by the challenge of translating cutting-edge technology into practical, human-centered strategies that work for every teacher, across all departments.

I focus on practical coaching methodologies (including tech integration and effective professional communication) to ensure that the shift to new tools and policies (like complex AI policies I've helped draft) truly enhances learning and teaching, not just adds to the workload.

I have extensive experience in designing and facilitating supportive PD sessions for faculty, both within schools and externally (including workshops presented at Google). I specialize in guiding staff through change, fostering genuine adoption, and building internal capacity for digital fluency.

• Collaborative Implementation for Lasting Impact: My focus is on solutions that stick, even when resources are tight. I successfully worked with teams to implement a new online mathematics platform for 200 students in a challenging hardware environment (e.g., managing a 30:200 laptop-to-student ratio). This experience ensures I bring a strategic, highly resourceful perspective to technology adoption, prioritizing sustainable digital transformation regardless of budget.​

• Leading the Ethical AI Classroom I specialize in developing clear, practical frameworks for the ethical and effective use of Generative AI in the secondary classroom. This moves us beyond fear or novelty and focuses on analytical validation and problem-solving. I have experience helping to draft complex AI policy and guiding colleagues and students through its practical application.

• EdTech Writer & Contributor I actively contribute to the educational discourse by writing articles for professional newsletters, sharing research-backed strategies on curriculum, assessment, and the thoughtful integration of technology. This commitment ensures my practice is always current and externally validated.

I am excited to transition my passion for PD and instructional strategy into a full-time Math or Educational Technology Coach role. Now settled in Hong Kong, I am actively seeking a long-term position where I can dedicate my strategic vision and collaborative spirit to a community that values curiosity and growth.
